Into 2012

It’s New Year’s Eve and I’m about to head off to play a show right before midnight at Schoolhouse Studios in Abbotsford. For some reason it occurred to me that I should probably throw something nominal up on my chronically neglected website before the year’s out.

So, I just wanted to say thanks to anyone who’s checked in here occasionally for being interested in what I’m doing. My new record has obviously taken a lot longer than I said it would, but if I look back on my two years in Melbourne with a certain amount of generosity then it looks like I’ve been busy the whole time. I’ve spent the most man hours learning to be a better producer, and getting together a live show that I’m happier with.

2012 already looks good from here. I’ll be heading to Mona Foma in January as a resident DJ, as well as finishing up the words to this ‘new’ record. Lots more stuff in 2012, I hope.

New site, new record

I’d had the same old site for a lot of years, where nothing much at all was always going on, and I had a plan to do something along the lines of a simple blog with some links to my songs. That was a few years ago. Finally, to waste time I should be spending recording, I’ve got a new site where you can read my inanities and hear my music. I’m going to try to keep this running hot with goodies.

Right now I’m working on finishing a new Clue to Kalo record. My plan is to have most of it sorted by the end of March. If you’re interested in hearing rough versions of some of these newies, come and see me play sometime.
